About

Hamadi Belghachi is an Interaction Designer passionate about creating human-centered experiences.

A recent graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, he studied Human-Computer Interaction at the graduate level and Interaction Design as an undergraduate. His graduate research focused on the accessibility of academic websites and web portals, and he also collaborated with a team of UX designers and computer scientists to develop productivity software using Agile methodology. He further broadened his perspective during a semester abroad in the United Kingdom, immersing himself in a rapidly evolving field of user experience design. Combining design craft with a strong eye for visual communication, Hamadi has produced illustrations and marketing materials to promote academic events and opportunities for students. Based in Washington, DC, he aims to improve user interfaces in the public sector and find innovative ways to help people reach their goals faster.

LakerLogs is a Web-based weekly work log system that standardizes how students document and submit their weekly progress, and gives instructors a clear, organized way to review those submissions. Established requirements, conducted Usability Testing, and formalized the final presentation to stakeholders.

Usability Assessment of the Web Portal serving SUNY Oswego Students

Led a study to assess the usability of a new interface against the existing “MyOswego” university Web portal. Research found that while student sentiment was significantly positive for the new interface, further usability research would be required to prove quantitative improvement.
